His comment<\/a> was made in 2019 and has garnered renewed interest since the massive invasion<\/a> of North Africans into Spanish enclaves on Thursday.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Notably, Ceuta and Melilla are Spanish autonomous cities, located on the coast of North Africa, sharing borders with Morocco. Due to them being legally European but geographically African, they pose the risk of being used as a staging ground for the ongoing third world invasion of Europe, although their purpose has been to prevent that very thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While Yair Netanyahu was vague as to the NGOs he referenced in his 2019 post, there has been more tension with NGOs between the two nations in recent months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In January the Spanish government pushed back<\/a> against an Israeli court ruling which frustrated the work of humanitarian NGOs working in Gaza:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Spanish Government rejects the decision of the Israeli Government to apply registration regulations to humanitarian non-governmental organizations operating in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, revoking their licences, with the aim of expelling them and impeding their work. Through these measures, which have affected recognized Spanish and international NGOs, Israel is thus limiting the work of NGOs and humanitarian actors to deal with the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza and to meet the most basic needs of the Palestinian population. This decision is in addition to the recent adoption by the Knesset of the law imposing the cut-off of electricity and water supplies to UNRWA facilities in Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territory, as well as the removal of their immunities and privileges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Spanish Government reiterates its de\u200bepest concern at the severe impact these decisions will have on the already catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza and the Occupied Palestinian Territory, and urges the Israeli Government to reverse these unacceptable decisions that prevent the work of key humanitarian actors, who save lives and meet the urgent basic needs of the Palestinian civilian population and refugees in Gaza, the West Bank and the entire Middle East region.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

On July 21 Al Jazeera published an exclusive<\/a> detailing the Israeli government\u2019s work to combat NGOs as it related to their plans for geographic expansion. Note that these operations go back to at least 2013.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAn official document obtained by Al Jazeera shows how Israel collected information on charities in 2013, singling out some of the world\u2019s most well-known humanitarian organisations for their perceived positions on the Israel-Palestine conflict,\u201d Al Jazeera said<\/a> July 21. \u201cThe file, a spreadsheet that we accessed via an Israeli ministry website, listed more than 150 charities and basic details, such as the director\u2019s name at the time, the organisation\u2019s address, telephone number, email and area of work.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The crux of the issue was the longstanding expansion plans of the Jewish State, Al Jazeera reported:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But in a \u201ccomments\u201d column, 15 were remarked upon with statements such as \u201ccritic of Israel\u201d in the case of France-based Premiere Urgence Internationale, \u201cinvolved in anti-Israel campaigning\u201d for the Geneva-based Defence for Children International and \u201chighly involved in BDS\u201d \u2013 meaning the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions<\/a> campaign \u2013 to describe Mundubat in Spain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The document suggested Oxfam was \u201cactive in global BDS efforts\u201d and encouraged NGOs to join \u201cviolations of international law\u201d by supporting projects in the occupied West Bank \u201ceven if they have not been approved by the Israeli Civil Administration\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oxfam told Al Jazeera the comments \u201cappear to reflect allegations and interpretations, rather than an objective assessment\u201d of its work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAs a long-established humanitarian organisation operating under rigorous compliance and accountability standards, we reject assertions that are not supported by credible evidence. Oxfam<\/a> does not support or promote the BDS movement.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The spokesperson said the charity upholds international law and added that Israeli \u201csettlements violate international humanitarian law\u201d.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

According to NGO Monitor<\/a>, SODePAZ, is an NGO founded in 2013 and funded by donors<\/a> which include the European Union<\/a> and Spain<\/a> (Agency for International Development Cooperation). The group \u201cparticipates in numerous projects funded by the Spanish government alongside NGOs with ties to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a terrorist organization designated as such by the US<\/a>, EU<\/a>, Canada<\/a>, and Israel<\/a>. (See table below for further funding information.)\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On April 14 Arab News reported<\/a> how the Israeli NGO Shourat HaDin asked the International Criminal Court to consider legal action against Spain for allegedly \u201caiding war crimes\u201d via trade with Iran:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An Israeli advocacy NGO said Tuesday that it had asked the International Criminal Court to consider legal action against Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez for allegedly \u201caiding war crimes\u201d through exports to Iran.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The complaint comes in the midst of an escalating diplomatic spat between the two nations, which began with the start of the Gaza war in October 2023 and worsened after Madrid recognized a Palestinian state a year later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Filed by Shourat HaDin, which has taken legal action worldwide against what it calls \u201cIsrael\u2019s enemies,\u201d the lawsuit accuses Spain of providing \u201ccomponents required by the regime in Tehran and its proxies for military purposes.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a filing submitted under Article 15 of the Rome Statute, it alleges that Spain approved the export of about 1.3 million euros\u2019 worth of so-called dual-use products that could be used in detonators and other explosive-related applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
