America\u2019s largest meat company, Tyson Foods, has announced that it making changes to the ingredients of its products to comply with the policies of President Donald Trump\u2019s administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tyson announced that it will end the use of synthetic food dyes in its products to align with the \u201cMake America Healthy Again\u201d initiatives of the Trump administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In a statement, Tyson Foods CEO Donnie King said he expects the company to remove all petroleum-based synthetic dyes from its products by the end of May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
King revealed the plans during Tyson\u2019s Q2 earnings call.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The executive claimed that most of Tyson Foods\u2019 products do not contain these types of food dyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
However, he added that Tyson has already begun reformulating the products that do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cToday, the vast majority of our retail branded Tyson products, including our Tyson Dino Nuggets, Tyson Chicken Nuggets, Tyson Chicken Bites, and Jimmy Dean Maple Griddle cakes do not contain any of these types of dyes, and we have been proactively reformulating those few products that do,\u201d he said during the call.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
King also affirmed that no Tyson Foods products offered through school nutrition programs contain artificial food dyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Robert F Kennedy Jr. expressed his support for this move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Just 13 days after @HHSgov + @US_FDA announced plans to phase out petroleum-based synthetic dyes from the nation\u2019s food supply, Tyson Foods today reported it will eliminate these dyes by the end of May.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTogether, we will Make America Healthy Again<\/strong>,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On April 21, RFK Jr. and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Commissioner Marty Makary announced<\/a> a move to ban artificial petroleum-based food dyes from the nation\u2019s food supply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The move is part of a long-term plan to Make America Healthy Again (MAHA).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Consumption of synthetic food dyes has been linked to brain development issues in children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
