Here\u2019s another big win for DEI hiring\u2014Mark Brave, New Hampshire\u2019s first black sheriff, just pled guilty to a laundry list of felonies. Shocking? No, not one bit. This is what happens when you focus on checking diversity boxes instead of hiring the best person for the job. Sadly, we see this happening everywhere these days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brave\u2019s fall from grace is nothing new. Sadly, it follows a very familiar pattern if you\u2019ve been paying attention to the left\u2019s DEI circus. Back in August 2023, Brave was arrested for stealing nearly $19,000 in county funds. This \u201cstand-up guy\u201d used taxpayer money to fund his extramarital affair and bankroll romantic trips to Boston and Florida.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mark filed bogus claims for airfare, hotels, and meals\u2014all while conveniently covering up the fact that he wasn\u2019t exactly traveling solo\u2026 or with his wife. He actually doctored receipts to hide the identity of his mistress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But don\u2019t worry\u2014it gets worse\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sheriff Brave flat-out lied to a grand jury. He spun stories about attending official events, meeting a US congressman, and, of course, denied his mistress was anywhere near those trips. All lies. One Boston getaway, supposedly for a \u201ccharity fundraiser,\u201d turned out to be nothing more than a romantic dinner cruise with his side piece.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the disaster you get when being the first matters more than being the best.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Mark Brave, former Strafford County sheriff, has reached a deal in which he could avoid prison while pleading guilty to to multiple felony charges for stealing county money he used to fund trips connected to his extramarital affair and lying about it to a grand jury.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, sentencing for perjury charges will be left to the discretion of the court and could still result in prison time for Brave, according to Attorney General John Formella. Both the state and the defendant will present arguments on the perjury charges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brave faces a maximum penalty of 7-14 years in prison and fines of up to $8,000 on the perjury charges. Sentencing will take place in 90 days in the Strafford County Superior Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Brave entered guilty pleas in the Merrimack County Superior Court Thursday to Class B felony theft by deception, Class B felony falsifying physical evidence, and two Class B felonies of perjury for lying to a grand jury.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The disastrous and dangerous DEI movement in this country is something we\u2019ve been covering for years\u2014every angle, every mess, every time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a matter of fact, Sheriff Brave\u2019s little scandal feels all too familiar\u2014just think back to another DEI disaster we covered. Who could forget Big Fani and her lover Nathan Wade?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Willis\u2019s illicit relationship could have easily remained hidden, or at least inconsequential, if she had been even slightly less stupid. But she just could not help herself. It wasn\u2019t enough to hire her lover. She had to make him special counsel on by far her most high-profile case, which would attract by a million miles the most press attention and the most expensive, diligent lawyers. It wasn\u2019t enough to carry on a tryst with Willis. She had to go on one lavish vacation after another with him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Willis\u2019s excuses for her behavior are the sort that require a lobotomy to accept. Her relationship with Willis was entirely appropriate and aboveboard, yet Willis felt compelled to hide it because, well, *mumble mumble*. Was Willis using her highly-paid lover as a conduit to get those vacations? Not at all. By happenstance, Fani just keeps $15,000 (15 large) in cash in her home at all times for just this sort of thing. And by golly, it turns out Wade liked to do the same thing. How handy!<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The special prosecutor described Willis as an \u201cindependent, proud woman\u201d who insisted on paying her own way and used cash for \u201csafety reasons,\u201d not to obscure the transactions. He also said he did not deposit the cash Willis paid him for their trips together.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cYou don\u2019t have a single, solitary deposit slip to corroborate or support any of your allegations that you were paid by Mrs. Willis in cash, do you?\u201d Shafer attorney Craig Gillen pressed.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNo sir,\u201d Wade replied, adding he would either \u201cspend it or put it in my pocket or put it in the hotel\u2019s safe.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSafety reasons!\u201d It\u2019s the sort of lame lie that belongs alongside \u201cHunter Biden was a top anti-corruption expert.\u201d Incompetent in a wholly stupid, almost lazy way, she covers her tracks with a tale that isn\u2019t even meant to convince, just to make one sputter at seeing a person possibly get away with the thinnest excuse imaginable. The stupidity of such affirmative action cases so unfathomably defies conventional understanding that it extends beyond the merely ludicrous and would achieve an endearing, childlike quality were it not for the devastating consequences to the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The American regime is groaning both in public and behind closed doors at the trouble Fani Willis has stirred up for them. But just as Fani deserves her ongoing humiliation, so do all of her enablers. They have asked, loudly and proudly, for every part of this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After all, Fani Willis is the avatar of DMV America\u2014the combination of racial caste system and kakistocracy that the American regime is determined to erect in what was once the world\u2019s proudest meritocratic society.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

When people are handed positions, they\u2019re not qualified for and don\u2019t deserve, simply to check off a box, disasters like Mark Brave and Big Fani happen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And when these DEI hires fall\u2014hard\u2014it doesn\u2019t just humiliate them, it makes it even tougher for qualified minorities to break through the noise. DEI isn\u2019t about opportunity\u2014it\u2019s about twisted left-wing optics. And it\u2019s doing far more harm than good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
