<\/a><\/a><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n York, Pennsylvania, became the latest jurisdiction to harden policies protecting criminal illegal aliens before Donald Trump returns to the White House.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The City Council of York convened Tuesday for their final meeting of 2024 and voted to pass Bill 47, which codifies practices designed to shield illegals and \u2018refugees\u2019 from immigration enforcement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The council, which is comprised exclusively of females, voted 3-2 in favor of enacting Article 156, Welcoming and Access to Immigrants and Refugees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n With few exceptions, city employees and law enforcement are now prohibited from assisting or supporting federal immigration authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The bill states, \u201cunder no circumstances shall a City of York Police Department member, or other official or employee, whether assigned to a task force or not, have the authority to enforce administrative violations of immigration law or otherwise assist in the enforcement of civil immigration law.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n City employees cannot ask about immigration status when a victim reports a crime, during traffic stops, or when parents enroll their children in local schools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Article 156 also establishes forms of identification that are to be considered acceptable in York, including photo ID issued by \u201ca non-profit organization approved by the City.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n An earlier version of the bill included a line stating, \u201cthe City of York boasts a diverse community with almost 40 percent of the City\u2019s population identified with a Hispanic heritage, with 11 percent who speak English less than very well,\u201d but most of that sentence was struck during the final vote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Dissenting council members, along with Mayor Michael Helfrich, reportedly expressed concerns that passage of the bill could jeopardize roughly $2 million of federal funding the city receives if the incoming Trump administration cracks down on sanctuary cities, as promised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNo amount of money is worth exchanging for the protection of our residents,\u201d asserted York City Council President Edquina Washington, who introduced Bill 47.<\/p>\n\n\n\n York, PA is now a sanctuary for criminal aliens. @ICEgov @RealTomHoman @ICEphiladelphia https:\/\/t.co\/Db1ZhVPF8n\u2014 Jessica Vaughan (@JessicaV_CIS) December 18, 2024<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n York joins a slew of other cities and counties taking similar action to prioritize the safety and comfort of illegal aliens over American citizens, including Boston and San Diego County.<\/p>\n\n\n\n InfoWars regularly covers ICE arrests\u00a0of dangerous illegal aliens who have been released or protected by authorities in sanctuary jurisdictions \u2013 including many who are suspected or convicted of homicide or heinous crimes against children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Image Credit: City of York York, Pennsylvania, became the latest jurisdiction to harden policies protecting criminal illegal aliens before Donald Trump returns to the White House.
